It is over a hundred years since The Songs of the Sentimental Bloke was first published. It was hugely popular, and remains the best selling book of poetry in Australian literary history. This Post-Centennial Edition celebrates that work with a few changes, removing the racism and some of the misogyny, and updating some of the slang which was lost over the years.
This text is also more suitable for teachers to use in class with younger readers.
