Chemistry Course Companion (original)
Developed in collaboration with the International Baccalaureate Organization, Oxford's Course Companions offer additional support for students enrolled in IB Diploma Programme courses. They adopt a comprehensive approach with a diverse range of resources, promoting a deep understanding of each subject by linking it to broader issues and fostering critical thinking. Written by a principal examiner for IB Diploma Program Chemistry, this resource has been thoroughly reviewed by teachers, consultants, and the IBO.
With content that incorporates international and historical perspectives, students are encouraged to think critically and draw connections to other subjects and global issues. The materials facilitate cross-curricular connections, helping students reflect on the evolution of science. The Course Companions cover the core and AHL in full, with selective coverage of the Options, and include numerous illustrations to clarify challenging concepts. Additionally, they provide resources for CAS and the extended essay, as well as examination questions for critical thinking, practice, and reinforcement of learned concepts.
